The last outing...: Iron Man 2...

Okay, so after IB exam finish that Thursday me and my friends went out the next day, for our very LAST OUTING...I think it will be last day visiting Alamanda... I guess... bila lagi pula nak berpijak ke Alamanda kan...
Actually we miss some part of the movie, but it's not bad, since Iron Man is not a puzzle to be solve, we just have to sit there and enjoy...
And that was exactly we did..
Oh, and when I was trying to find my sit, I notice Syamin and Hayati were next to us... what a coincidence... so, habislah ketawa gila2 semua dalam pawagam... and somehow most laugh in the theathre are very familiar... when the movie finish... like more than half of the audience are KMB students... what a coincedence! NOT!! Rhoe pun cakap, " Macam tengok kat bilik TV je..." hahaha! betul...

So the story continues as Stark confessed to be Iron Man... he had some issue with the government that want that suit, his girl-or-not/Stark company CEO', Ms Potts, his friends, Rhodey, his father's enemy's son looking for vengence, Vanko... woo! too many...

but most importantly, his dying condition as his use of the 'palladium' lead to blood toxicity...
Whatever it is, the plot was great, nicely arranged... highly satisfied with the storyline...

Oh yeah,Robert does play his part very very well... a big shot... and let me tell you it is extremely hard to take on that kind of role... salute to Robert Downer Jr. I can tell most of girls prefer Robert than George Clooney... oh wait, why did I compare both of them... Ok, because they are the hot ones that is reaching the golden 50... whatever it is Downy is hotter..

Action-wise... satisfying (well, I'm not really into action stuff, but my friend Pa'an, big fan of action movie is really enjoying the fight, so I would yes it was awesome!)
Romance... just enough dose... not too much to make me sick of it, not less to make me crave for it...

Gags... a lot !! You can laugh your a** off all you want... hehe..

But.... there is always a but... kadang-kadang rasa macam terlalu banyak lawak... tapi tu hal kecil... aku suka sebab aku suka ketawa... cuma ada waktu macam... 'lamanya dia ni cakap'... tapi tu cuma kurangkan 0.1 point je.. hehe..

Did I mention that I really love the villain, that is how evil scientist should be... strong, obnoxious, clever and very manipulative... nice one Mickey Rourke... now I really want to watch Te Westler...

the magic spice in this movie, yes the apperance of the Avengers, or SHIELD;
Nick Fury by Samuel L Jackson, and Black Widow by Scarlett Johansson...
truthfully Johansson seem out of place, but of course this movie got to have its 'sexy' factor... you not gonna get that from Ms Potts right... hehehe...
Oh yeah, and there was a cameo of the late DJ AM.. may he rest in peace...

Make me think of the movie, that before it is more rock and roll but the sequel, it is more of rave in the club.. still enjoyable...
and finally, another favourite of mine, Happy character play by Favreau.... nicely done...

Overall rating, minus Scarlett out-of-place, and Ms Potts character (not really sure why)..
rating 4.5 / 5...
enjoy!!

Should I buy cleansing wipes...?

I started to question myself as I wear makeup and then, I go for my solat. I take wudhu’ , but I don’t really clean my makeup, even my mascara.
Then I read this somewhere on the internet, regarding this matter. Oh my, actually I have to wipe off all my makeup properly before completing my wudhu’ and then I started to remember what my ustazah told me before... but I guess I wasn’t really paying attention since I don’t really wear makeup that time.
Another opinion from a fellow muslim makeup-wearer is that you can go for solat with the wudhu’ you had on before. She means that you have to complete your wudhu’ first before putting on makeup. Ok, that make sense.... But the you really have to be sure and believe that your wudhu’ is still sah. If you doubt then it is best that you renew your wudhu’, then you have to take off your makeup... I know, what a waste and all that... especially since I am the type who wears a really precise makeup...
So this person suggest using cleansing facial wipes... then you can renew your wudhu', solat and then reapply your makeup... but the downside is, because i don't think I would bring all my base makeup including my trusty liquid foudation, my reapplied makeup have less coverage than before.... HATE that...
However, thanks to my trusty MAC MSF natural, which really match my skin tone, have buildable coverage, and plus using stick concealer... I still can tone down all the blemishes....
Actually, I was looking forward to buy MAC concealer, because The Bodyshop one that I use, is too dry for my acne since I'm using BP gel... But that is another post...
Conclusion: It is hardly for me not to doubt my wudhu', so unless otherwise, cleansing wipes is my closest option. I guess I just have to suck it up and just reapply my makeup... It is actually not bad, and I might enjoy it(reapplying makeup...hehe)
Cleansing wipes to look for (affordable one):
Elianto (30 wipes) - RM 12 ( I bought the green tea one... not bad)
Simple (25wipes) - RM 25? (not sure)
Etude House (?? wipes) - RM 9.90
the key is to look one with makeup removing propertiess.
PS: I should really becareful about my wudhu'

sorry that I abandon you....

I have not been blogging for the whole sem 4....
It's not that I'm not into it anymore...
It's not that I have nothing to say anymore... actually there is a lot on my mind...
It's not that I'm too busy...
It's because... just because...
Probably I was thinking what I want to blog about...
but later, all seems... unworthy for me to blog about...
so finally, I thought about remodelling... not my blog page, but my post...
Instead of putting too much stuff about my daily life, I think this is the where I can focused on things that I don't get to talk much in person...
That sounds good... now that explain why I usually read blogs people of the same thought...
so... the conclusion in my blog will be more on my interest and know about and can be share...
Makeup (I'm no pro.. but I believe I have a few know-how) ..vanity... style???-...Entertainment... (music and movies)...
I know my post is too leisure and somewhat kedunian...
well, I guess I want my blogging to be my guilty-pleasure... hehe...
other things on my mind I rather keep it personal or discuss in person...
(no emotional-breakdown post- learn that from the past...)

HOLIDAYS?

ok, serius dah lama gila ak tak update blog...
agaknya bila nama dah terpanggil waktu assembly sebab tak hantar EE buat aku berfikir dua kali dengan cara hidup aku...
Ok, aku pilih subjek biologi, dan sepatutnya aku buat eksperimen... tapi sepanjang setahun aku ada masa nak buat eksperimen tu, akhirnya aku baru mula but eksperimen pertama cuti raya puasa lepas... What the hell?!... lepas tu tak reti-reti pula nak update EE kat supervisor... memang patut nama aku kena panggil...
and at one point, I think I stand up and go to the VOLUNTARILY on the day students who has not hand in their first draft... sebab waktu tu aku memang fikir memang padan muka akulah...
and the thing is, I was the first to stand up, and it was along, long time until another person come out... gila malu syial! Dalam hati ni, rasa hina gila, dengan student lain, 'si dia' and cikgu-cikgu lagi...it was a nightmare!
So, after that, I really tried to start on my EE and sempat jugaklah hantar something kat supervisor by 30th Nov...Now, I just have to continue in the holiday...
Now enough about EE...
so for the holiday, as usual nothing much going on...
since my family is not the type that always go for holiday trip... so I'm basically staying at home...
But then I decided to join my classmate to Perak... But the new thing for me is that, I'm travelling alone... You see, I never, NEVER travel that far on my own... So I am quite worry, but excited... so yeah, whatever... So, I'm going to Perak tomorrow until this Friday kot...
So I have a lot to pack and to think about now... so wish me luck on this trip...

Is Bronzers irrelevant in Malaysia?

why do we wear bronzing powder?
Because it is nice to have that warmth and golden glow on our face, but that only work well if you are living in a four season country.... when you can be just too pale during winter there, lay on a lot of bronzer and you look nice, because the idea of beauty is tanned and healthy which lead to existence of bronzer... but here in Malaysia, you will look burned.... terbakar...
Here in Asia, most part of Asia, fair and light are more popular... then does this mean that we cannot wear bronzers?
well, for starters I don’t thinks that are many women in Malaysia really apply bronzer in their face, most people I know, but I believe for Malaysia makeup artist, bronzer is still a must... but the problem arises when women wear bronzer the wrong way...
How to make bronzer Malaysia-friendly
1. Choose the right one
Bronzer can be wonderful. Pick bronzers with pearlescent shimmering finish, NOT GLITERRY. Use it to enhance your face structure. Usually we do this by using lighter and darker foundation and do a contour on our face... but to me this is so unnecessary and with all those foundation shade build up on your skin, in this weather(hot, humid) it will melt and you look like a mess... if your foundation is already a mess, forget about your blusher and all. You will end up looking like certain artist in magazines like NUR, Mangga or Pancaindera... a definite no-no.
So a highlighter/bronzer is the best... for tanned skin like me, you can get away with darker shade of this to enhance you complexion and give a nice glow. Think Hollywood. Example of local artiste that look good...
For fairer skin, I think a white shimmery blusher would be good enough or golden shade is good too. Instead of darker shade on cheeks, why don’t your try showing off your porcelain fair skin. Don’t stain your cheeks like in the hollywood, instead think Japanese or Korean, they hardly wore colour on the cheeks except higlighter...
2. Smooth base
Exfoliate those skin girls and apply something on before your bronzer/highlighter, maybe dust face powder(if your skin don’t need much), dab concealer and foundation on needed are if you need more coverage. and blend well until you see your skin.

3. method of applying
some people wear this bronzer/highlighter all over their face... totally unnecessary... in Malaysian weather, you will look like you perspire a lot.
Use a brush... the best way, this is not blusher that use can use finger or typical powder that use a sponge/puff... a brush, a blusher brush, medium size brush would be enough to diffuse those highlighting properties on your face. Dip in product, tap-off the excess and blend on these spot, your cheekbones and bridge of nose, that will be enough. But you can also apply on the apple of your cheeks with or without blusher, chin, on top of your forehead, right under your eyebrow, top of of the bow of your lips, these areas . But NOT the tip of nose, NOT all over your cheeks and forehead and sides of nose. Some people might put on other part, but I think this area is enough for those who wear headscarf.

just with this, your cheeks will look more chiseled, your nose more sharp and complexion are more radiance and not flat.

Suggestion on products:-
1. MAC – Iridescent Powder (RM 80.00)
2. MAC – Mineral Skinfinish _ Gold Deposit (RM 110.00)
3. MAC – Mineralize Blusher _ Warm Soul / Love Joy (RM 95.00)
4. The Bodyshop – Roseflower Radiance Stick (RM 50.00++, not sure)
5. Benefit – Coralista (RM 129.00)
6. Bobbi Brown – Illuminating Bronzing Powder (RM 115.00)
7. Shiesedo Maquillage Face Creator(RM 85.oo, I think, Alexander Wang’s Collection is RM 125.00)
8. Laneige - Snow Crystal Blush (RM 70.00)

I know most of these makeup are pricey (for student like me), but really, I haven’t found anything that gives that really good, illuminating, highlighting effect like these. Most blusher in Watson/ Guardian are shimmery and glittery not the effect that I’m talking about. Thought about Revlon Beyond Natural Blush and Bronzer (RM 55.00) , but I’m not sure if its just matte powder with chunks of glitter. So think of this as an investment, it is worth it. Product no. 3, 5 and 7 can be a blusher too, and actually you don’t really need a blusher so you can save on that. I have the MAC Mineralize Blush Warm Soul, and it is the perfect one for me, and does not break me out. Love it.

So I hope girls out there don’t be afraid to shine on... this doesn’t take much time, it may look not much, but trust me you will look more radiant.

PS: I do really think girls wear too much makeup in magazines like Mangga and NUR... when will we learn less is more... their blusher like staining their cheeks... nampak kotor...
PSS: these are my way of wearing makeup, tips and advice... it really is the way I think about it, other opinion are allowed and you might have different ideas, it is up to you, whichever ways work for you. If you really like the Hollywood tan looks that I sometimes found unnecessary, you should just go for it. Makeup to me anyway, is just how you work it and feel confident... so go for it.

Weekend Playlist...

I start to lost it when it comes to music... which should i listen to... which I should put as my ringtone, or which should I put on my blog, which should I save as my MP3, or which I even have to put into my MP3 (quite a sad story, my MP3 is only 1 GB, thought about buying a new one with more space, but screw it, because my green Samsung MP3 has its own value)...
So, I come with this new found hobby or a way of wasting my time... that is my weekend playlist... no, my weekly playlist, so I listen to different song I have but at the same time I still feel satisfied that I can repeat it...
what ever it is, this is my weekend favourite:-

1. The Subways - Alright
2. Klaxons - Magick
3. The Horrors - who can say
4. The Stills - Retour a Vega
5. Arctic Monkeys - My Propeller

Klaxons

Arctic Monkeys

PS: You guys are welcome to share your weeken fav also... I know I'll be sharing mine, weekly...

why I want to talk about JET

I interested in JET , since 'Are You Gonna Be My Girl' from Get Born, so it has been a long time.

I'm not really into the retro fashion with shaggy-like hair and face, but I got to admit, Are You Gonna Be My Girl, from Get Born, does make my feet move and my head bang... hehehe.
This band is one of my Austarlian favourite after The Vines. Other than this flirty number, Are You Gonna Be My Girl, I did fall for 'Look What You've Done'... sweet elegy.

Rollover DJ also sound nice... then it just that, until it came back with second album Shine On. I do get caught up with 'Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is', but that is all. Then, I don't know what happen. haha...

So what inspire(kind of) to blog about Jet is since Jet is the Chosen One for Channe[V]...(for September), and I actually really really like "She's A Genius"... both song and the music videos (eventhough I don't really get the Chewbacca look a like.)

Anyway,Shaka Rock does have decent songs, like K.I.A(a.k.a. Kill In Action) and Black Hearts On Fires.

The video for K.I.A is also insane man... massacre dowh... but then entertaining... haha...

Overall, I would say I love Jet but it is seasonal... I can't be listening to Jet almost everyday... but sometimes if they(wherever, whenever) put it on, or if MTV or [V] put it on, I still can listen and enjoy it. But I believe out there there still a lot of JET's fan. To me, they still rock... and shaggy is really not that bad.

From left:
Nic Cester(vocal, rythm guitar, piano)
Cameron Muncey(lead guitar, backing vocal)
Chris Cester(drums, percussion, backing vocal- yeah Nic and Chris are brothers)
Mark Wilson(bass, keyboards, harmonica)

Suggestion on JET other than She's A Genius:-
of course I would suggest 1. Are You Gonna Be My Girl
2. Look What You've Done
3. Bring It On Back (FYI it's from Shine On)
4. Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is
I just love the music video for this, 5. Kill In Action (from Shaka Rock)
So, I hope you guys out there enjoy JET more than I do (saja nak encourage, takut kena bantai dengan fans Jet kat luar sana haha...)

PS: Disebabkan telinga aku macam pelik sikit, aku rasa JET bagi aku 4 bintang dari 5 bintang... okaylahtukan... They actually really great. Cater to many type of listener(yang sebenarnya bermacam-macam ragam)
PSS: Sorry that the most of the suggestion tu biasa dan selalu keluar di MTV atau [V]... mesti anda semua pernah dengar...
