K-entertainment: Family Outing *sentiasa dalam kenangan

Here it goes to K-entertainment fans,

if you are interested in variety show, you got to watch FAMILY OUTING... *just saying it is really good.

First of all, about Family Outing,

please don't be mistaken, if you are talking about SNSD's Yoona or 2PM's Taecyon... you are wrong.

I am talking about Family Outing Season 1 which has Yoo Jaesuk as the MC. *no SNSD or 2PM

other lineup include Lee Hyori, Kim Jong Kook, Kim Sooro, Yoon Jongshin, Park Yejin, Lee Chunhee, Daesung Big Bang, Park Haejin and Park Shiyeon.

In the middle of the season Park Yejin and Lee Chunhee leave the show *last episode: 52-53 and newbies Park Haejin and Park Shiyeon join the Family.

It is said since Chunhee and Yejin left the show, the rating has dropped. I guess it was normal since by 50+th episode, Yejin and Chunhee should have establish strong position in the show. Park Haejin was trying his best *he is contributing as well, Park Shiyeon was okay as well, actually I expected great stuff from her, but too bad she was always missing *injured from other filming, too bad.

Oh shit,

I should have explained first about this variety show. It is basically group of celebrities known as FAMILY, went to the countryside and stay for a night by crashing into some random Grandcouple.

They would be given chores such as feed the livestocks and farming... but then they also play games *usually physical and messy, a plus point in a variety show. They would also have a guest or 'new family member every week', which always great... *well if the guest is COOL,

One of my favourite guest: TOP admitting being the source of Gag in Big Bang

*it is usual that Guest can be suprising, unexpected and ridiculous, but very entertaining

So you see, Family Outing has 2 season, the first one it was really good, run up to 80+ episode (2008-2010).

But the second one seriously you're not missing much. Last less than 20 episodes I believe.

Family Outing *season 1 of course, was one of the variety show with high ratings, which was really a downfall for season 2, since they can't reach the same steady rating. After Season 2 was stopped, the slot is taken by Running Man, which also very very recommended.

I haven't watch all the episode both season 1 and 2, and currently trying to watch all mostly on season 1, just to see how the show evolve in two years..

I cannot deny halfway through the season you might find yourself a bit bored since the pattern of the show is quite the same. But after a while they change bit by bit.

At first, as they arrive they will do one of the chores, play GAME then dinner.

After dinner follow by RANKING.

After a while they change into playing game recruiting for late night/early morning chores which by episode 60+, you will notice how serious it got.

Kim Hyun Joong and Seungri episode: battle for the early morning chores, epic!

Kim Sung Soo and Jo Han Seung episode: Miss Family - best team are free from early morning chores. Jaesuk's*in gold, team lost, so they have to wakeup early morning to catch crabs *notice the image of a crab.

Then the next morning, game to decide who is making breakfast.

Overall, I will always treasure Family Outing *season 1

Recommended episode *by guest, and the reason why:-

1. G-Dragon Big Bang- it's GD! and nice introduction for a new series
2. Rain - it's Bi! hehe, and lot of tension between the girls and Bi scare of octopus
3. Cha Tae Hyun - Jaesuk and Jong Kook humiliation
4. Daniel Henney - Hanbok and family craziness *watch out for Jaesuk
5. TOP Big Bang - Daesung's super aegyo with TOP and TOP being the hyung with Dae
6. Kim Won Hee - Lee Hyori under control
7. Song Ji Hyo - Horror Special!! watch out for Daesung
8. Kim Hyun Joong SS501, Seungri Big Bang - Accident competition between the two guest and grand GAME for early mornig chores
9. Jo Han Seung, Kim Sung Soo - Miss Family *GUYS dressing up as girls= hilarious!
10. Final Episode- Whole Family! - A great conclusion for great a great season!!

PS: I am watching Running Man, which MC is Yoo Jaesuk as well. I notice that Jaesuk really into physical variety show. I still remember in one of Happy Together episode right after the end of Family Outing, Jaesuk seem less interesting... hehe...
