New Mirror ... it does make a difference (ARGOS)

What I dislike most about my en suite room at Elms Village is the fact that they had a big mirror in the private toilet but very small sink. So even if I really love the mirror which is really big enough but I still have to run back and forth with my makeup to put it on.
I can't keep my makeup in the toilet there isn't much space.

Sorry about the messiness...

I prefer to do my makeup while seating and lighting is really important for me.
Back at home I had a mirror paste on a cupboard that make me face the pendaflour light (the pendaflour light in my is hang on the side of the wall instead of on the ceiling. At KMB we had study light which is at our study table. In my room here in Elms, we also got study light at the table but the problem is I got no mirror.
So at first, I always wanted to get a mirror with a stand from Argos, but I never got it. I end up buy the smaller mirror for a pound at Poundland. At first, I got no problem with, until I realize it is damn small. Probably I got a big head but I was annoyed by how small the mirror is. I even put a few books under the tiny mirror to give it height.
So when my allowance is in, I just go crazy buying stuff I never got a chance to, extra pillow, extra towel... dumbells... all this are from Argos, suddenly I remember about the mirror I once thought about buying.
So I got the new mirror and I am really happy about it. It's 3.99pound and its is BIG... not huge but big. Big enough for me not to be annoyed but not too big that I could put it on the table and I don't need books under it to give it height.

From the picture you can see the different in size. After getting the mirror, I seriously realize how easy I am applying makeup and how clear my makeup application is. Now I don't have to run to the toilet to get a full view of my finished look. I can even wear my headscarf with this mirror only. LOVE it.
So Argos Value Range Chrome Plated Freestanding Mirror
3.99 pound
I give it a 5 out of 5 for being a very great mirror for someone who really likes to put on makeup. Really recommended to people who likes to apply makeup while sitting.
Import thing to note for makeup application:
1. Mirror -
Big enough for the whole face. Always cleaned (not blotchy). I would recommend adjustable height and angle *like mine, so that you can adjust the mirror to focus on different spot or when you are sitting or standing. It is better to get in this size and convenient to hold/move *like mine, so that you can get as close to mirror as possible without being awkward position like when you are using full-length mirror. Well, some people are used to that, but I prefer like this.
2. Lighting -
Don't put makeup in the dark, you never know what you get. Okay, lighting is important, it will avoid us applying to much makeup. I notice that makeup has to be applied more opaque *tebal, to make it turn out well in pictures. Very sheer makeup would not turn up in camera. However, if you put too much makeup, it might look good in camera but too fake in real life.( That's where HD makeup technology comes in.) Good lighting should be directed to your face, *I suggest a study lamp, and not too bright but not too murky. You should be able to see the real colour show up on your skin with the lighting.

Ps: I'm going to enjoy applying makeup now... but have to beware as to not being distracted while doing work. Usually I will tilt it up *another plus point for adjustable angle.
Pss: Okay, I realized how much MAC product I have bought so I should be blogging about them sooner or later.... *delighted

Big Bang!!! boleh tak jangan COOL sangat!!

Picture from ibigbang.wordpress.com

I totally believe in TOP now, finally emerge into fashion leader like GD himself. Finally crack his cocoon of 'suits' since the releasing GD and TOP and not to forget the hair!!
GD love your hair as well, but I really prefer if you don't dye it blond, especially when TOP is blond as well. I guess at least it clearly not the same colour and even in this pic, GD wear a hat, so the edgy haircolour still goes to top. TOP is more of silver white blonde while GD is more beige blond.
Talk about hair colour, DAESUNG really look with Black hair and talk about black hair, Seung Ri really look best with black hair. Look less cocky.
Taeyang, still looking good as usual, but notice the taller and sharper mohawk...

Stay cool guys!!

ps: Start with TOP fashion, end up with hairstyle... that's why it is hard for me to ever talk about Big Bang... there's ton to talk about.

Seriously enjoy TONIGHT performance, glad they still had it!! *of course they would!

New Model/Victim~~ and Kelas Kemahiran Helwa

It has been a while since I update on makeup label.
I even still have a draft that haven't been posted yet.

So this morning I joined the 'kelas kemahiran' organised by Helwa QMC.
This class include cake decoration, headscarf style, muslimah clothing and makeup application.
Guess what? I was invited as 'teacher' for the makeup session. *wow!
In a way I feel nervous because I never had professional training and I never even went to makeup/grooming class, so I felt I was in wrong place.
But I guess my small passion (including the fact that I did talk about makeup when introducing myself at QMC reception) has give me the confidence to share my 'knowledge' as well as opinion in makeup.

It has been a while since I put makeup on someone else (but then the only person who always got a free makeover from is my sis, miss my main model). I was quite worry cause no one seem interested to be my model for the class, until the day K Pipot come and visit a few days before.
Since I already try the makeup on her, it make things much easier if she is my model for the class (which she was).

So for the class I only introduced basic stuff and just added a simple smokey eyes for fun.
Seriously I was really nervous, really afraid of making m
istakes ... Alhamdulillah, the class went well.

My new model, K Pipot. Practicing makeup on her. (forgot to take picture from today class)

So with K pipot, the steps are:-
1. She doesn't have many blemishes, just a bit of redness. So after moisturizing, I buff on the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish(MSF) Natural (my foundation does not match her well, but if foundation was applied it would have given a more flawless finish)
2. Then using The Bodyshop Concealer, I apply by finger on discolouration (since I didn't put on foundation) on eye area, around nose and cheeks (her cheeks are red).
3. Then to contouring, using deeper shade of MAC MSF Natural with fan brush in the hollow of the cheeks. Then MAC Iridescent powder on the cheek bones. Then nude blush, MAC Mineralize Blusher in Warm Soul on the apple of the cheeks.
4. For the simple smokey eyes, I will just use 3 eyeshadow colour (I use L'oreal Quad) ; taupe, vanilla and peachy pink and all are shimmery.
First, the peachy pink packed on the lids from lashline to the crease using applicator brush, follow with vanilla for higlithing on the inner corner of the eyes and on brow bone, then the taupe applied at the upper and lower lash line and at the outer corner I made like a flick with the taupe. Finally BLENDING! Very important. Blend to get rid of the harsh line and diffuse the colour together.
5. Since I would like to give a more intensity I use black eyeshadow and applied thinly on the upper lashline and extend it more to give a more elongated illusion. On the lower lashline just applied lightly up to 2/3 of the eyes from outer corner.
6. Finish of with curling lash and mascara (I didn't apply mascara on her since it is unhygienic)
7. For the lips, I just left it bare since her lips look healthy pink with just colourless lipbalm.

Alright back about Kelas Kemahiran

Kelas menghias kek oleh K Linda. Since all the session are given only up to an hour, the class just stick to basics. All I learn today is practice make perfect and I still have a long way to go to make Mama proud (tunggu eh Mama, masuk allowance, get myself baking tools and start baking, hehe).
But just look at the picture of the cake that K Linda come up within a very short period of time! MANTAP!!

K Siti, K Syasya (Cikgu2) and K Tiqah (Model)

The class held by the 'tudung' expert went very well, and it did trigger my 'supposedly shutted down' fashion sense in headscarf style. In the near future I might consider wearing different style of headscarf.
The best tip: tetas inner untuk memberi bentuk kepada inner.
*kalau tak nak style yang melekat di dahi

The Class end with K Hani presentation on Muslimah Clothing.
*too bad didn't have any photo of it.
Credits to the catwalk done by the models.
The class was a good reminder for us all (muslimah) so that we are aware of how we present ourselves outside.
The rule of thumb is very important, its okay to style and makeup yourself as long as we remember not to go overboard.

Overall, really had fun learning as well as teaching... hehe

PS: Credit to the cook who serve a very innovative masak lemak kuning! *woww!!!

Just remember about this... last Winter!

I almost forgot about posting this, it has been as a draft for a very very long time.
Alright, when was this?? hahah!!

So it was the first week of winter holiday, I got a flight to Southampton. It was delayed, but a bit. Whatever, I manage to get to Brunei House, where my friend, Aida live.

Brunei House.
It was great hospitality, apparently Aida got one hall (kitchen + bathroom) shared with only fellow Malaysian female. So, it was very home-like. Obviously I could not offer the same feeling if she ever come here.
I stay there up to 4 nights I believe, I thought about going to London, but I just end up lazing off in Aida's bed. So, I pretty much visiting Southampton all 4 days.

Ship-gazing: apparently suppose to be a popular activity *??
Mayflower Park.
From here I also visit the Titanic Trail, Maritime Museum.
I just forgot to take picture outside the museum, I guess I was trying to make most of 1.50pound entry fee to the museum.

Walking through the city.

Then, me and Aida's geng got up to train for Portsmouth.

This where the shopping paradise lies, Gunwharf Quay.

It was the bomb! The worst thing was, I did not have much money, but I still manage to get out with a 10 pound French Connection pants. *hehehe.
Oh, did I mention they also have factory outlet for high-end makeup!!! COOOL!!

To be honest, I was tired by the last day in Southampton. The next day, we went for the Winter Gathering under MSM, oh by now should be IKRAM UK & Eire.
But the memory in Southampton was never to be forget and meeting Aida's flatmate who were very generous to me, nice.

Then off to Sheffield for the Winter Gathering.
All I can say is that, there were a lot of people, A LOT!
I meet lots of new friends as well as friends from KMBian, nice to see you guys!
*who would have thought many from Ireland would come, oh wait, I'm from Ireland... hehe...
no, no, I'm from Northern Ireland, UK. Whatever.

Yeah, I'm glad I learn a lot from the gathering
*I wouldn't really call it gathering, it should be 'motivational camp'...
despite being depressed in cold and not having shower *eh macam tak biasa pula,
I still make most from it.
Oh we got a day off on boxing day, since I'm not into shopping that time, I just walk around Sheffield city and university.

Tram, why I don't see one of these in Belfast.

Weston Park.
I thought about visiting the museum, too bad it was close that day... duhhh!!

So we just walk and walk....

By the end of winter gathering I really want to have a rest on my bed back in Elms... but what what was I supppose to do, I still have to wait for my flight in 3 days from Manchester.

So got to Manchester by bus, stay with my friend Afiqah, *sorry to intrude...
Did I mention about how hardworking she is in the kitchen, *amazed!!
That first night, there were me, Fiqah, Ann, Heidy, Lela, Sarah (UCL) and S as well.
Bapak arh, KECOH gile!!! Dengan S and Lela... *usap kepala

The next morning, me and Fiqah teman S shopping.
Wow S, boleh tahan.
Quoted from Fiqah "S shopping macam nak rompak"
and me, I was carrying his shopping bags, and taking care of that guy's passport.
*usap kepala

That night, finally met Rhoe and Syakirin was there as well.
Rhoe said you can never go hungry here.
Yes, the food around Rusholme area, not just HALAL, TASTE GOOD and CHEEEAAAPPP!!
So we went for burger, ice-cream and then ribs
*forgot the name, but remember the taste... yummm..
back to Fiqah's place, she feeds us more. *that's why, she is rajin in the kitchen.
And again KECOHHH!!
Nak migrain kecoh dua malam berturut-turut. This time S and Rhoe...
lepas tu kes S dapat kena subanlah...
Yang tak boleh blah, lawak Syakirin ,'-.- *ohh, macam ni orangnya Shakirin ni... hahha!!

The next day, just to make it right *I guest
I went to visit the Old Trafford. hhmmmm???
If only I am a really BIG fan of MU or at least Football... haha!

Old trafford *that's a nice picture of me... hahah!!
Oh, we bump into rombongan Heidy, again kecoh!

The night was spend at Aqill's home, kesian Aqill masa tu, demam masa baru balik dari Sheffield, pastu boiler tak on... aduhai...
She was feeling better that time and making a feast, since we suppose to meet Aida's Jaulah geng which include Ada as well. But too bad, Aida couldn't stay for too long.

Then the last day, suppose to be glad that I finally going back to Belfast, but feel sayanglah... probably since I didn't get to spend much time with Aqill and Ada kot.
But that morning before my flight at 4pm, we just decide lets have M08K time!
Fiqah couldn't join since she was on train to London.

Rhoe was the tour guide again, he shows around the University and the Manchester Museum, which have the 'cliche' T-rex... hahah!! too bad it was a short visit, since we went there late and I have to catch the bus to the airport by 2pm...
Bapak arh, lupa pula Manchester Airport besar gedabak!!! Ingat sampai on time, last-last kena pecut sampai terminal, nasib baik security semua pass. Got on the plane safely.

Overall, it was TIRING!!!
*haha! not so positive..
But, yeah, I have gain a lot from there, knowledge, fun and more importantly experience.

For someone who doesn't go out much, to travel on her on eventhough just in UK... is quite a big deal, well, at least to my parent. Let this just be a first step for me to start to get use to travelling, because to be honest at first, I have no intention and what so interest in travelling.
What I know is, I will cherish this trip.

As a VIP...why don't I blog about Big Bang

You know, as a VIP,
it is really unfair for me to not blog about Big Bang...
the reason is
If I blog about Big Bang, I would definitely blog about 2NE1 and YG...
Big Bang always progresses too fast, that I to be honest could not catchup... ~~

So in short, I just believe I am not a good blogger to blog about Big Bang...
Its a shame I know, as VIP...
It just that they are just so good that I don't have the credibility *right to blog about them...

oh b*** s***, I'm just lazy...hehe

So, my solution is to put ibigbang link on my blog,
to blog at least about how I enjoy Big Bang...
and...

oh f***! I just haven't done any blogging for too long...

PS : Trying to get the best videos of BIG BANG comeback "Tonight!"
Pss: Probably will try to blog about the other development from YG before BB's comeback, such as Tae Yang's Solar (I know, so out of date, but buzz off, it's my blog, try to strut my stuff here), 2NE1, GD and Top and Seung Ri.
