Ok, I am usually not attracted to high end foundation and if I thought about buying an expensive high-end Foundation (GBP 20.00 and over) I would think of MAC first.
As people might know I am an avid follower of the PIXIWOO sisters on youtube and they really the Chanel Foundations and their tutorials always feature Pro Lumiere or the VitaLumiere. But I wasn't attracted because I believe Chanel never really thought of people with darker and deeper skintone (MAC NC35 and above), so I don't think they got my shade. But then one day I came a cross youtubers giving review about Chanel foundation and they have darker and deeper skintone so then I check out the makeupalley for bulk reviews and actually the Chanel foundation do have darker shade especially the Lumiere line. But then when I check again the darker shade is available in US. In UK, it is different. The darkest shade is 60 or Hale'.

When I come to the Chanel counter the sales assistant of course recommend me the darkest shade which is this one. But to my finding I think it is quite light on me, but actually after a while it kind of blend into my skintone which is great. And to be honest I actually prefer my foundation to be a bit lighter than my real skintone,
*maybe because it is an asian thing, I want to look fairer*
In the end I only took a small bottle sample which the counter generously offer.

Shade in 60 I would say like MAC NC30-35 but I'm not sure because of it's undertone, it appear like warm undertone and blend into my warm skintone, so it is warm I guess.

The description from Chanel Website:-
A silky and comfortable texture for a matte, slightly powdery and radiant makeup result, all day long. The fluid formula of MAT LUMIÈRE blends delicately into the skin. Fine, porous and spherical particles of silica powder provide a matte finish. Shiny areas are mattified and the radiance of the face is revealed. Coated pigments conceal imperfections with an optical effect, leaving the complexion wonderfully even and radiant for enhanced beauty. The polymers in the formula optimise hold and ensure a matte complexion.

Alright the finish this foundation gave is what people been raving about,
IT'S MATTE, but still gave RADIANCE
yes, I agree that for a matte foundation this foundation does not give the flat and dry look, skin still shine through and there a bit of glow but NOT shine/sheen and that it still give dimension to our face, and I love it as it gives my skin radiance. It does not look cakey at all and no mask-like effect. So perfect for someone with oily skin who yearns for that glowy finish.
I am happy to say that what they claim in the website is not gimmick at all and I think the formula make sense and that is why it is a bit pricey.
GBP 33.00 for 30 ml bottle.
The packaging is a standard bottle with pump which is good.
The texture is quite thick and they said that coverage is medium, but I believe it is buildable and can be almost full coverage because of the thick texture. Since it is quite thick so it does take a bit more effort to blend it compare to other liquid foundation but that is not hard. Sam from pixiwoo did say that it dries up at the pump and that you should be careful the next time when you're pumping the foundation since you can shoot off the dry solid .

Another thing to take note on this foundation is that this foundation does have a smell or I would say fragrance. It's not that alcohol chemical smell, it is actually like a floral perfume, and for the first time I like a fragrance in my makeup, but I know some people would not like it. and the smell is quite strong even a bit of product you could smell the fragrance already.

Now the unexciting unexpected part, I'm not sure where and when exactly, but I found out when I want to buy this at the end of August. They discontinued the shade 60 Hale' which I never got chance to purchase it... it was really really disappointing, like WHY??????
Then I thought about getting the Pro Lumiere, but it was the same, shade 60 discontinued as well, only the Lift Lumiere got 60. So that time asking the Chanel counter, they gave a sample of the Lift Lumiere in 60. I love that as well and I will give a review about that later after longer use. :)

But overall Chanel Mat Lumiere foundation is really GOOD if you have lighter skin tone, and the money spend on it is totally worth it.
Rating: 4.5/5.0

PS:Now I am also not sure about this, but I heard that Chanel Pro Lumiere will be discontinued (I'm not sure if it already been discontinued) and that Chanel come up with a new foundation that is the Perfection Lumiere that is coming soon... I think. I am not sure whether they have launch it or not, maybe already in US, maybe already in UK... no idea.
I read somewhere that Perfection Lumiere is suppose to substitute the other Lumiere but I totally have no idea if they are discontinuing the Mat Lumiere and Lift Lumiere as well, I hope not, unless the Perfection Lumiere is really good.
For now I found that Mat Lumiere are out of stock at Debenhams online and Boots online, not sure about others (House of Fraser, Selfridges etc). And on Chanel Website, they are still there, and there is no news about the Perfection Lumiere, and I haven't went to Chanel counter since late August when I bought gift for my mum and bottle of Lift Lumiere *teeheee :D*. So I will try to keep update.
If say, they are discontinuing this, probably you could get it on ebay or amazon... *sad*
